Farm Equipment Mechanic jobs in Chillicothe, OH

EXCAVATOR /TRACKHOE OPERATOR EXCAVATOR/TRACKHOE OPERATOR (Salary ranges $22.00 -$28.00)

• Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment. Hoe operator is responsible for daily pm on his machine.
• Working with crew members to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Performing other construction related duties as needed on the crew.
• Promptly reporting all faults to the Supervisor or Foreman.
• Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
• Attending meetings and refresher courses to ensure responsible equipment operation.
• Has experience and good working knowledge of underground utility work. Has been a part of digging, placing pipe, working with trench boxes, working with a bottom man in the hole and understands basic safe operation and practices of underground utility work, and excavator operations.
• Must have Valid Driver’s License, ability to drive self to jobsite and ability to drive company transportation.
• Experienced, and good working knowledge of all types of earthmoving equipment ie; hoes, dozers, loaders, e.t.c
• Ability to carry heavy building materials and use a shovel.

• Willing to work Saturdays as needed. We give notice by Wednesday if upcoming Saturday work is optional or required.

Equipment Operator Requirements:

• Prior experience operating equipment.
• Good working knowledge of how the machinery operates
• Good communication skills to people on the site to ensure safe operation of equipment
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow orders, efficiently and safely work towards accomplishing a goal
• A sound understanding of health and safety codes.
• A positive outlook and a willingness to learn.
• Reliable/trustworthy
