We currently have an opening for an Feed Mill Driver. This is a 1st shift position and is expected to work M-F; 40-50 hours per week.

Job Summary: The feed delivery driver is responsible for sampling, transporting and unloading poultry feed in accordance with standard operating procedures established by the feed mill. In addition to feed delivery, the driver is also responsible for daily truck and trailer inspections. The driver is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

• Learn and perform delivery tasks – deliver feed to farms
• Learn and perform inventory control tasks on farms – feed sampling
• Accurately complete and maintain assigned reports, logs and documents
• Work with contract growers and receiving operators
• Maintain equipment for safe operation or communicate when maintenance is needed
• Work in a safe and efficient manner
• Learn other delivery job functions within the company to serve in backup roles

Physical Requirements:

• Climb ladders
• Transport 50 pounds
• Operate a forklift with certification
• Work in dusty environment
• Work weekends, overtime, and holidays when needed

Other Requirements:

• Class A CDL
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
