    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Sports Field Solutions is seeking a General Manager for our Mobile Maintenance Division. In this role, you will be responsible for and oversee all elements of the successful delivery of premium athletic field and facility maintenance services to multiple clients across various locations.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Leadership and Team Management:
      • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of maintenance and sports field specialists.
      • Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
      • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
    2. Sales and Business Development:
      • Drive new sales initiatives for both sports field construction/maintenance and landscape services.
      • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the local market, including schools, businesses, and athletic facilities.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
    3. Operations Management:
      • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in service delivery for both sports fields and landscape maintenance.
      • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and shrub care.
      • Monitor and resolve any operational issues or challenges within the division.
    4. Project Estimation and Management:
      • Review all sales teams’ estimates for new projects and maintenance contracts.
      • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
      • Collaborate with the team to assess project needs and allocate resources effectively.
    5. Client Engagement:
      • Meet with clients to discuss their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
      • Prepare and deliver presentations on services, project proposals, and progress reports.
      • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
    6. Financial Oversight:
      • Monitor and manage the division's budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
      • Analyze financial performance and identify areas for cost savings and revenue growth.
    7. Marketing and Promotion:
      • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for promoting services and increasing brand awareness.
      • Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to represent the company and its services.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in business management, horticulture, turf management, or a related field preferred.
    • 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in landscape maintenance or sports field management.
    • Proven track record in sales and business development preferred.
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Knowledge of landscaping and turf management best practices.
    • Proficient in project management and estimating software.
