Field Engineer - Construction delivers on-site technical oversight support to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineer - Construction follows quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consult with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineer - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Field Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Construction Materials Field Technician—Albany, GA
Starting pay $17.00/hour depending on experience (ACI Concrete certification desired)

Description- Performs routine field and laboratory tests and inspections for the purpose of verifying conformance to construction plans and specifications.
- Monitors, observes, and samples the materials used in construction work.
- Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
- Prepares daily reports and data sheets. Operates with close to moderate supervision.
- Typical activities include but are not limited to: observation and monitoring of backfilling of subgrades, installation of reinforcing, fresh concrete sampling, base stone, and asphalt densities.
Requirements:- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. College coursework or degree preferred. Emphasis in physical sciences and/or math.
- Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
- Good driving record.
- Perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment.
- 1 year of testing experience in soil, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt is preferred.
