Field Engineering Manager - Construction supervises on-site technical oversight activities to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineering Manager - Construction enforces quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consults with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineering Manager - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Procures and coordinates any additional resources required to support field engineering activities. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and recommend improving construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Engineering Manager - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Field Engineering Manager - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Field Service Project Manager is a strategic resource for Crane Engineering’s Water and Wastewater Sales/Service Team. Field Service Project Manager is responsible for quantity takeoff, ordering materials, coordinating schedules, verification of materials on-hand, interfacing with Crane Account Managers and Customers, including ownership of the overall project schedule and budget. This position will split time between job sites, customer interactions, and the office.

    What You Get To Do

    · Manage project schedules and budgets.

    · Support equipment start-up and customer training.

    · Identify and evaluate potential problems and work with team members to develop solution(s).

    · Coordinate with cross-functional team members to keep project and workflow on track.

    · Monitor project financials and adherence to estimated costs. 

    · Acts as a link between the Account Manager and Customer to ensure customer satisfaction and order fulfillment.

    · Maintain project team communications, coordinate activities and track open items.

    · Monitor financial status by tracking labor and expenses in relation to estimate.

    · Assemble quotes/bids and prepare contracts.

    · Monitor adherence to schedule, specified materials, and quality of work.

    · Manage contract details, payment requests, change orders and purchase orders.

    · Coordinate, track and report all activities within the order fulfillment process.

    · Develop and manage process to monitor and track large multi-day projects.

    · May perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    · Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management Degree preferred

    · Proven Project Management or Construction Management experience a plus

    · Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications

    · Strong mechanical aptitude

    · Electrical knowledge preferred

    · Ability to manage difficult situations

    · Meets commitments with integrity

    · Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations

    · Strong written and verbal communication skills

    · Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful)

    · High sense of urgency, highly organized and ability to prioritize and multi-task

    · Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as the ability to learn other programs quickly and effectively
