Field Superintendent - Construction oversees the daily construction activities of contractors, foremen, and workers at a work site to ensure projects follow schedules. Coordinates the procurement, delivery, and placement of materials and equipment on-site as required to execute each phase of a construction project. Being a Field Superintendent - Construction follows construction schedules and monitors daily and weekly progress to ensure project milestones are achieved. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions to keep the project on track. Additionally, Field Superintendent - Construction directs or conducts inspections to audit the quality of workmanship and materials and compliance with specifications and standards. Completes the required status, change, or timekeeping reports. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a project manager. The Field Superintendent - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Field Superintendent - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent. Successful candidates must have and be able to complete the following: a minimum of 8-12 years of construction/supervisory experience; must demonstrate the ability to oversee and manage near-term and short-term calendars and jobsite schedules; must be able to driving line-of-effort to meet overall project objectives and end-states; must be able assess, analyze, mitigate and articulate risk and uncertainty to company leadership; must have excellent problem solving, time-management, leadership and communication skills; must be able to read plans, construction documents and project schedules; must be able to function effectively in meeting goals, tasks, and meeting deadlines; must be able to plan, forecast, estimate and communicate jobsite materials and requirements to Project Managers; must be able to collaborate with various construction trades and optimize teamwork; must have the ability to utilize various features in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/Project; an associate’s degree Construction Management/Technology or a combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required;
