Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Walker First Turn is looking for passionate and self-motivated Finance Manager who is ready to accelerate their career.
Responsibilities
- Possess a professional customer focused attitude and appearance at all times
- Filling out and submitting financial documents to lenders
- Selling extended service contracts, insurance and other back-end products
- Communicating with customers and Sales Consultants on status of loan applications and approvals
- Entering vehicles into Dealer Management System, controlling inventory
- Follow all policies and procedures given by management
- Compliance with all state and federal laws
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of previous finance is experience is required
- Automotive finance management preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Must be able to work independently with a high sense of urgency while also being a team player
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean MVR
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to sit at desk for prolonged periods of time on the phone/computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15-20 lbs. at a time
Job Type – Full Time with Competitive Pay
Work Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8 am – 5:30 pm
