Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Director of Finance provides leadership & direction for our Store Director team. This role is ultimately responsible for the financial performance of each location, the development and coaching of the Store Directors and the experience that our guests have when they come into our taprooms.     Supervisory Responsibility

    Accountable for the finance team.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in a hospitality/ brewery environment. This role routinely uses cleaning supplies and point of sale terminal systems.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position and hours of work/ days may vary from week to week. Hours expected to be worked are between 40-45 hours per week. A typical week would be Monday through Friday.

    Travel

    Travel is not expected for this position.

    Preferred Education And Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
    • Proven experience (8 years) in financial management roles
    • Previous experience in a leadership role, managing a finance team and collaborating with senior management.
    • Track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
    • Strong knowledge of financial software systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience in strategic financial planning and business partnering.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
