Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Job Description

    Idaho State University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented System and Process Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. The successful candidate will play an important role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing our organization's systems and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    Key Responsibilities

    Process Analysis and Improvement:

    • Analyze existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand workflow intricacies.
    • Design and implement streamlined and efficient business processes.

    System Integration:

    • Evaluate and integrate new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
    • Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
    • Conduct impact assessments on system changes and upgrades.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Utilize data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights from various sources.
    • Develop and generate reports to provide key performance indicators for decision-making purposes.
    • Work closely with business units to define reporting requirements.

    Documentation:

    • Create and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, system configurations, and integration points.
    • Provide training and documentation for end-users on system processes.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Perform system testing to ensure functionality and data integrity.
    • Identify and resolve issues during testing phases.
    • Collaborate with Finance team to develop and execute test plans.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and processes.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or closely related field OR eight years of professional experience performing system and process analyst duties and responsibilities.
    • 3 years experience in system and process analysis.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in using data analysis tools and process modeling software.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies.

     Preferred Qualifications

    • Higher Education/Experience with ERP systems and integration.
    • At least 5 years of related professional experience.
    • Knowledge of business process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN).
    • Knowledge of accounting and business practices.

    Additional Information

Salary will be between $60,000 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
