    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Senior Manager, Operations Finance role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple manufacturing plants, ensuring robust financial management, and driving operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both finance and supply chain processes, contributing to strategic decision-making and the overall success of our manufacturing operations. This role supervises a team dedicated to multi-plant strategy, activation, and business results.  

     

    Financial Management: 

    • Oversee all financial operations for multiple manufacturing plants, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. 
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. 
    • Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets. 
    • Monitor plant performance metrics and analyze variances across locations to identify areas for improvement.

    Strategic Planning and Analysis: 

    • Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis to the CFO, CSCO, and senior management. 
    • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate potential investments, expansions, and other strategic initiatives. 
    • Participate in long-term strategic planning and develop financial strategies to support business objectives. 

    Operational Excellence: 

    • Partner with plant managers and supply chain teams to optimize operational performance and efficiency. 
    • Drive improvements in production processes, inventory management, and supply chain logistics. 
    • Ensure alignment of financial and operational goals across all plants. 

    Team Leadership and Development: 

    • Lead and develop a team of plant finance professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities. 
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team. 
    • Promote cross-functional teamwork and effective communication between finance and operational teams. 

    Compliance and Risk Management: 

    • Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations, including GAAP, SOX, and internal policies. 
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, commodity, and operational risks. 
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audit activities.

    Supervisory Responsibilities 

    This position has direct supervisory duties over the Plant Controller and Senior Analyst Operations Finance. The role requires team development, coaching, and engagement.  

    Qualifications and Skills

    Education and/or Experience  

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on multi-plant operations. 
    • Strong understanding of cost accounting, financial analysis, and budget management. 
    • Proven experience in driving cost reduction initiatives and operational improvements. 
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Proficiency in Oracle and ERP systems is required; additional systems experience, such as SAP, preferred.  
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

    Language Skills 

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and data, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public. 

    Reasoning Ability

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables 

    Travel

    Ability to travel between plant locations as needed.
