Finance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of finance professionals. Oversees the collection and analysis of financial information for an organization. Being a Finance Supervisor monitors the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Finance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Finance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. The Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission (TRORC) seeks a highly skilled, self-motivated, full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Finance Manager. Part-time and hybrid arrangements (at least 20 hours or more) may be possible. Working directly with the Executive Director, responsibilities include management of TRORC financial accounts (A/P and A/R), completing payroll, staff benefits and tax payments, grant contract/budget management with detailed/varied invoicing requirements, development of annual budget and federal indirect cost rate proposal, creation of advanced accounting reports for the Executive Director/Board and funders, annual audit preparation, general oversight of office operations as well as Board support.
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks software and payroll/tax accounting is required. Knowledge of federal or state grants management including indirect and match rates is a plus. As a governmental organization, ability to work well with staff and the public is essential.
TRORC is the regional planning commission for a 30-town area of east-central Vermont in Windsor and Orange counties.
