About The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance team by performing general accounting functions and analyses using GAAP procedures. Your responsibilities will include handling the general ledger, balance sheet, and income statement accounts, as well as preparing data for journal entries and financial statements. You will ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Compensation- Hourly Rate: $36.00 - $38.46
- Annual Bonus: Eligible
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and record bank activities in the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, including accounts receivable, prepaids, accruals, and other liability accounts.
- Review, reconcile, and record bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll activities.
- Handle internal and external wire transfers.
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts at month-end close to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Manage unclaimed property escheatment reporting and maintenance.
- Oversee fixed assets accounting and prepare year-end business property tax filings.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audits.
- Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and established policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
- Ensure consistent attendance to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of general accounting/finance experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle ERP accounting software preferred.
- Experience with fixed assets and property tax filings is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Residency in the PST zone is required.
