Job Description Summary

Transhealth seeks a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations with a focus on general accounting, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), revenue cycle management, and the general fiscal health of the organization, including a disciplined regimen of financial reporting and analysis on key performance indicators. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a challenging, fast paced, highly entrepreneurial business. The ideal candidate will be an experienced controller / accountant with a strong technical background in healthcare accounting, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, and skilled financial analyst.

Objectives & Responsibilities

• General Accounting & Budgeting: Ensure consistent accounting practices adhering to accrual based GAAP, non-profit, clinical standards while monitoring and achieving budget goals
• Accounts Receivable: Collaborates with an external billing company to obtain accurate financial reports and other information needed to create monthly AR entries. Reviews billing reports for accuracy and coordinates KPI reporting.
• Accounts Payable: Oversee accounts payable, ensuring accurate financial data entry, and timely vendor payment and cash management.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct thorough financial analysis and prepare monthly reports, identifying areas for financial growth and improvement. Compiles data for analysis and makes recommendations for increasing profitability of the practice.
• Investment Planning: Develop strategic investment plans to enhance financial performance and sustainability.
• Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure fiscal compliance across the organization, while continuously evaluating and improving financial processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, accounting, or related field preferred
• Professional certification - CPA (certified public accountant), CA (chartered accountant), or CFA (chartered financial analyst) preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in non-profit and / or healthcare accounting and managing AR and AP.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, P&L preparation, and investment planning.
• Strong skills in financial statement preparation and interpretation, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel modeling - pro forma development / data analyst experience a plus; proficiency in QuickBooks Online. Experience with financial reporting in Epic or other EHR.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
