Job Duties
-Audits vital signs, weights, blood glucose, intake & Output, seizure reports, GERs, skin assessments, reports to the nurse discrepancies.
-Audits med closets along with HM
-Completes all regularly scheduled Injections (flu, depo, risperdal, etc.) (Medical Assistants only)
-Filter phone calls during the week. Reports to the nurse abnormalities or when over the phone triage required.
-Assist with monthly cycle fill check in
-Scanning and filing paper documentation.
-Assist the nurse in follow-up on labs, helping to place the lab results in the drive, follow up with the nurse on abnormalities.
-Call and follow-up on appointments. Follow-up with the nurse on changes in any orders. Contacts HRC for review and approval of new or increased doses of psychotropic medications.
-Track regular appointments - Dentist, Vision, Women’s Health, etc.
-Assists with scheduling NP appt’s and sending out reminder emails to the individual support teams with the dates and times for the upcoming NP appointments. -Places appointment times and dates in Therap as well as sends out google invites for appointments to all appropriate team members and departments.
-Attends individual quarterlies with no active complaints or concerns and ensures the individual support teams have the quarterly health reports prior to the meetings -Transportation as needed
-Pass meds as needed
-Fill shifts as needed
-Documentation anytime they receive a call that pertains to individual care, follow up on a doctor's appointment or labs.
-Attends all meetings as assigned but not limited to SWOT, department meetings, nursing meetings, house meetings, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting salary is $40,000.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant; Experience with ID/DD population preferred; Proof of valid Indiana MA certification; Valid Driver’s License; Current Auto Insurance.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Organized; Ability to Multitask; Basic Computer skills; Ability to delegate duties as needed; Ability to supervise and manage others in a positive manner; etc.
