Assist the Director in the performance of all day-to-day operations of the Office of Financial Aid. These activities include meeting individually with students, corresponding and talking on the telephone with students and families about financial aid issues, and keeping current on federal and state regulations and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible administrative salaried position. Normal hours of work are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year and a possible shortened workweek during the scheduled summer hours time period. This position description is not all-inclusive, as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. Pay range is $43,000 - $70,000.
A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is preferred. Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid, demonstrated knowledge of student financial aid regulations and program administration, strong communication and leadership skills, and an interest in promoting private higher education to a diverse student body. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PC based computerized financial aid systems. Desirable software skills in: Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerFAIDS, EDConnect, ELM.
