Full Job Description
We are a rapidly growing company that is in need of a Chief Financial Officer. Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) manages the financial strategy, planning, and analysis ensuring efficient capital allocation, managing cash flow, and driving profitability while leading budgeting, reporting, and compliance efforts. This role also involves partnering with leadership to support growth initiatives and optimize operational efficiency
- Oversee the creation of financial statements for its LLCs including but not limited to:
- Profit & Loss
- Balance Sheets
- Cash Flow Statements
- Provide transparency, highlights, and insights about company financial performance to senior management.
- Ad hoc financial reports, as needed
- Prepare Clients annual budget
- Consolidate LLC budgets into Main annual budget
- Cascade annual plans to quarterly and monthly Track progress of budgets planned vs. actual
- Create recommended improvements on all budge Maintain awareness of financial compliance topics on State & Federal level
- Draft & publish financial policies for all of Summertown's holdings
- Ex: Credit card policies for different departments
- Coordinate with the legal department to understand and mitigate potential financial liabilities

- Tax planning strategy
- W9 & W2 management
- Sales, income, and other taxes
- Set internal timelines to plan for taxes and report progress and setbacks to senior management
- Create financial models and forecasts to aid Summertown's strategic decisions
- Create "make vs. buy" assessments
- Create cost models for product lines
- Review reports to make recommendations on how to reduce costs companywide
- Capital expense cost/benefit analysis
Heavy equipment, vehicles, production systems, etc.
- Due diligence of potential investments
- Real estate & new locations
- Define KRAs for the finance staff
- Hold finance team accountable to their KRAs
Create action plans to improve finance staff performance if KRAs are off-track
- Collect, review, and QA/QC finance staff reports
- Track time and attendance of finance staff
- Coordinate with HR for payroll of finance Staff
- Draft roles and responsibilities documents for all members of the finance staff
- Hold staff accountable to their standards of performance
- Conduct roles/responsibilities performance reviews with staff
- Analyze and propose potential pay increases for staff
- Prioritize and deliver on tasks that are best completed by the CFO
- Use delegation and project management techniques to effectively utilize the finance staff
