Job Description:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis and reporting. This will include, but not be limited to, providing analytics and business partnership that impacts financial results, including analysis and financial models. This role works closely with the Finance leaders and will help the team simplify and standardize processes and drive operational efficiencies across the U.S.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform trend and variance analysis on orders, income statement, balance sheet, and cash for company’s Green Bay location
- Prepare and present variance commentary to executive leadership
- Support the coordination of the annual budget process and monthly forecast updates and coordinate the monthly forecast to actual analysis process
- Calculate and process commission and incentive payments for US sales teams
- Prepare detailed cash forecast on monthly basis for two US locations
- Finance business partner for global Marketing, HR, and IT groups
- Subject matter expert for US locations in accounting for leases to comply with ASC 842
- Subject matter expert for OneStream consolidation software
- Assist global Site Finance Leader with monitoring global compliance with BW Corporate financial integrity measures
- Participate in integration of two legacy businesses through designing and implementing efficient and effective processes as part of continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead and support special project work, ad hoc financial analysis, and acceptance of new opportunities as they develop
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years of financial analysis experience required
- Superior work ethic, initiative-taking and strong desire to learn and improve processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Excellent communication skills (written & oral) and proven ability to work effectively with team members outside of finance and at all levels of an organization
- Ability to converse with the requisite financial acumen with division accounting, operations, treasury, tax and auditors as needed
- Strong numerical/analytical aptitude, project management and critical thinking skills.
- A high level of integrity, accuracy and dependability
- Focus on continuous improvement and effective change agent
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks on time with limited supervision
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with OneStream Consolidation software preferred
- MBA/CPA/CMA a plus
- Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus
