As a public company making real-time business decisions based on rapidly evolving data, the Finance team at RIV Capital plays a pivotal role in executing our strategy and achieving our business objectives. As the market and our business grows, so does our team, and we have an important role we’re looking to fill for our New York business. This role has the option of being hybrid at our Armonk, NY office, or fully remote.

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role on a small team, working closely with individuals throughout the organization. The successful candidate will oversee vital accounting processes while analyzing results to drive actionable insights specifically for our New York business.

Salary

Required Skills

• Manage monthly close process including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations; ensure accurate financial results
• Evaluate results against forecast, budget, and comparative periods
• Review and interpret financials with business operators
• Continuously evaluate ways to drive efficiencies across business processes (e.g. automation, standardization)
• Assist in the implementation of new ERP system and other technologies
• Manage the annual audit and quarterly review process
• Resolve any AP or AR inquiries as needed (e.g. invoices discrepancies, payment delays) and maintain accuracy of system in place
• Assist with the treasury function by monitoring the Company's cash position and ensure strong compliance with internal controls

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA or MBA is a benefit, but not required
• 3 years of post-undergraduate work experience in finance or accounting roles
• Self-starter that can work proactively
• Great attention to detail in order to ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to explain financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Competent problem solver who is resourceful and analytical
• Recognizes challenge is the only path to growth
