The Financial Analyst is a professional financial position directly responsible for planning and coordinating analytic reviews and analysis.  The Financial Analyst will apply principles of accounting, auditing, clinical knowledge, and statistical analysis to prepare audit studies, reimbursement reviews, ROI analysis for capital projects, economic and demographic studies, service line analysis, pro forma reports, contract change analysis and other projects for the organization.  The Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of the operating budget, financial statements, audit pack, cost report, month end reports and other financial related reports.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Education / License / Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university

Experience / Skills:

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to easily learn multiple systems
• Experience with Report Writer and or Query systems
• Minimum of 2 years in clinical or financial analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to analyze and compile reports from multiple data sources
