Financial Assistant (Public) provides assistance to the Public Financial Associates. Assists in the financing of taxable and tax-exempt bonds. Being a Financial Assistant (Public) prepares business reports, proposals, and presentations. Coordinates meetings and communications between all parties involved with transactions. Additionally, Financial Assistant (Public) verifies compliance with NASD and other regulations and completes all required filings for a deal. Familiar with underwriting policies, practices, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Assistant (Public) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. GENERAL SUMMARY: Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, entering data, organizing, and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers. The Administrative Assistant will manage clerical activities in the Public Works Department; and perform other duties as assigned.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Work in this class involves responsibility for the performance of administrative, secretarial, communication and clerical duties; planning, and coordinating; providing customer service; and assisting the Administrative Team. Employees in this class are required to exercise independent judgment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Public Works Director and reviewed through conferences and results achieved.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: Employee shall establish their principal place of residence within fifty (50) miles of their place of employment as soon as practicable after appointment, but within two years of appointment.
