Summary
Responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of library programs and events. The idea candidate is passionate about community engagement, possess excellent organizational skills, and has a flair for creating engaging and inclusive library experiences. This position will range from 12-18 hours per week. The majority of hours will take place in the afternoon and evening, depending on programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the library's Public Service Librarian and Director to plan and organize a variety of programs, including workshops, lectures, book clubs, and community events.
Assist in developing program schedules, promotional materials, and communication strategies.
Coordinate logistical aspects of library programs, including room setup, technology support, and participant participation.
Act as a point of contact for program attendees, providing information and assistance as needed.
Assist in promoting library programs through various channels, including social media, posters, and community partnerships
Engage with with patrons to gather feedback and suggestions for future programs
Contribute to the development of promotional materials and marketing strategies
Schedule and coordinate volunteer efforts at the library for both library programs and other service opportunities
Collaborate with external partners to co-host events and leverage community resources
