We are looking for a qualified Financial Assistant located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Job Summary: 

The candidate will perform as part of the customer’s financial team as they develop budgets, schedule incoming funding for use, and execute their financial plan as the In-service Engineering Agent for Navy radar systems.   

Position Description:

• Process Incoming Funding Documents (receive, obtain approval signatures, compare funded to budgeted amounts, update financial logs) 
• Run Network Activity (NWA) reports (generate weekly and ad hoc financial reports and then decompose the reports for delivery to individual technical teams) 
• Maintain financial reports on the expenditure of labor, travel, and material funding and report current available balances 
• Project resource requirements for upcoming fiscal year funding and generate funding request documentation 
• Assist with the development of budgets for upcoming fiscal year execution 
• Document processes, generate presentations and spreadsheets as required, and prepare for financial review meetings with customers   

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Four years of relevant experience and HS Diploma
• Practical experience providing administrative and financial support in a team environment 
• Experience generating and analyzing financial reports 
• Experience managing funding, reporting on financial status, and projecting resource requirements 
• Experience documenting team activities and accomplishments   
• Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills 
• Personal computer skills (demonstratable expertise with Excel spreadsheet development and manipulation and competency with other MS Office applications). 

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Familiarity with the Navy ERP financial system 

Travel Requirements:

Ability to be able to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
