Responsibilities

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze and interpret operational and accounting data to explain variations and trends from previous periods, budgets and forecasts.
• Process and analyze Corpo payroll data in collaboration with the payroll department and explain variances
• Model cost trends while reviewing the various related drivers. This potentially involves the extensive use of statistical analysis to forecast or model future cost trends.
• Proceed to record the various journal entries concerning the balance sheet accounts and the income statement.
• Manage utility supplier accounts as well as the payment journal for bank reconciliation purposes
• Review the expense report file and record the accounting entry
• Prepare accrual entries relating to accounts payable
• Support the payables team when necessary (example back up expense accounts and others)
• Participate in special projects and respond to ad hoc requests from the management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in administration or accounting
• CPA title (an asset)
• Relevant experience as a financial analyst (2 to 4 years)
• Bilingual (English and French)
• Able to popularize operational activities and transpose them into a financial context
• Demonstrate flexibility, collaboration and initiative
• Excel (Formula, macro and programming an asset)
