The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a crucial role in the financial management and strategic planning of a leading provider practice management organization of dermatology services. This position involves overseeing the company's financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes. The Director of FP&A collaborates with various departments to analyze financial data, develop financial models, and provide insights that support key business decisions and growth initiatives.  Furthermore, this role leads a financial analyst team that work closely with operations leadership to drive performance within the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the company's performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Analyze revenue and expense variances, assess financial risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare financial forecasts, considering market trends, industry benchmarks, and company growth strategies.
• Led the annual budget process for the company.
• Assist in the development and execution of the company's strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, assess ROI, and provide financial guidance for strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate calculations and payment of provider compensation, accurate and complete financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Continuously improve financial planning processes and models to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of financial concepts, financial statements, and financial modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting tools, and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards in the healthcare sector.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Licensure/Certifications/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Several years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles, preferably in the healthcare or dermatology industry.
• Experience in private equity-backed companies is highly desirable.
