In support of that journey, the Director will report to a Vice President of Planning and Analysis. This is a leadership position that will help build and lead a newly designed organization within the USB Technology Finance group. This role will lead the financial support for our USB Delivery, Platform, Service and Executive groups and become a center of excellence for reporting needs across all US businesses. The purpose of this organization is directly aligned with the Finance Actuarial Community priority of improving and sustaining operational efficiency while empowering our talent to deliver world class service. The director P&A will lead three finance professionals to provide significant, insightful, and actionable analytics to our business, technology, and corporate stakeholders. This will entail the development of a multi-year forecast projection of operational and strategic investments in technology for the businesses, the reporting of technology spending with outcomes against plans and business requirements, and clear and well throughout articulation of opportunities, risks and challenges to business plans. This role will be a key partner to the Business Technology Officers, other members of the USB Technology Finance team, as well as to business leaders to drive strategic decision making The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. What you can expect: Support the P&A and quarterly financial reporting functions for the Global Technology Finance organization within USB Delivery, Platform, Service and Executive areas. Support the identification of and drive technology expense efficiencies. Developing and articulating an in-depth understanding of expense drivers, accounting for capitalization of technology assets Establish a center of excellence that creates data management solutions across USB Technology Finance. This includes, but is not limited to, resource reporting for all FTEs/Consultants supporting USB Technology Leadership of a team with a focus on talent development Prepare clear and concise management presentations to ensure key messages are captured and action steps are well defined to enable swift decision-making. Supporting the design and implementation of enhancements to key technology processes, including expense allocations/chargebacks for the USB areas this team supports Willingness to roll up sleeves and navigate through areas that may not be in direct line of responsibility to transform strategy into action What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Prior experience in Planning and Business Analysis required. Experienced leader with ability to develop talent. Excellent Collaborator with interpersonal skills that enable the ability to translate financial topics into business English in both written and verbal form. Discretion with handling confidential information. Excellent analytical skills with strong ability to problem solve and proactively improve upon existing processes. Agile and organized, structure-oriented individual with ability to appropriately prioritize and juggle many competing deliverables. Ability to proactively anticipate issues, provide recommendations, and communicate key issues at the right level at the right time. Sense of urgency – Priorities may require quick turn-around for senior preview and presentations.
