Job Overview
· This role serves as a key individual contributor responsible for the preparation and documentation of financial statements and financial information for use by Harris County. · Assists in the preparation and documentation of the County's annual financial report (ACFR) including detailed review of the statements to the system for accuracy. · Exercises initiative to explain variances, unusual items, and key business trends. · Researches accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding the County's accounting policies. · Interacts with other entities and County departments to compile information for consolidated reporting. · Interacts with external and internal auditors as needed. · Prepares special financial and business-related analyses and research. |
