Job Title: Financial Accountant

Reports to: Assistant Controller

Essential Functions

• Perform Month end close duties including journal entry preparation and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including variance analysis
• Responsible for maintaining financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Preparation of various corporate reports in accordance with the monthly/quarterly/annual schedules
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Support of budget and forecast activities
• Financial audit preparation
• Recommend and develop process improvements, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
• Inventory Management including posting production and researching and resolving discrepancies
• Perform Cycle Counts of Finished Goods and Resale items
• Reconcile company credit cards
• Support and Backup to Accounts Payable function
• Build effective relationships with all levels of management and employees within the company
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism regarding sensitive issues
• Assist the Assistant Controller with various projects

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Knowledge of accepted accounting, economic, and auditing practices and principles
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
• Experience with ERP systems
• Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Products
