Primary Function:
The Finance Manager, Costing & Reporting should be detail-oriented and have a highly analytical mind. This position works closely with the Director of FP&A, the SVP of Operations and VP of Logistics to analyze, report and forecast DC and freight costs. You will be responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly cost reporting and identifying areas of Risk and Opportunity to budget and latest plan.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support continued automation in the company’s reporting, with a focus on reducing the amount of time
spent by the Finance Analytics team in data mining, data massaging, and data formatting.

Be an integral part of the development of the “real-time” costing reporting.

Central role in support customer contract bid & negotiations.
-
Ensuring all operational cost reporting is accurate.
-
Construct data accumulation systems for a cost accounting system and create and review the controls needed for analysis and reporting systems.

Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses.

Report on product cost by SKU.
-
Report on periodic variances and their causes.

Responsible for the accuracy and execution of weekly, month, quarterly and annual Executive reporting.

Update costs in the bill of materials.

Development and review of SOPs for reporting and transaction processing.

Central Role to Budgeting Overhead & Labor rates

Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles and core to this will be our annual budgeting process.

Analyze the viability of new product introduction.

Data Mining, Data Visualization, and Data Reporting while adhering to strict data quality and accounting principles.
Education/Background Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business and/or analytics
-
Five years of experience in finance, costing, forecasting and business planning required

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment but is expected to be highly familiar with all production operations, and to regularly visit all significant company operations. Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages a constant 55 degrees (except office areas).
