Financial Reporting Accountant jobs in Wheeling, WV

We provide accounting, consulting and tax services for Corporations, Partnerships, Sole Proprietors, Exempt Entities and Individuals. Responsibilities:

• Preparing financial statements
• Preparing bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assisting clients with accounting and payroll
• Preparing quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns
• Preparing annual information returns (1099 & 1096)
• Preparing sales and use and CAT tax returns
• Identifying potential additional services to benefit current clients
• Maintaining depreciation schedules
• Preparing Individual, Business, and Fiduciary tax returns
• Meeting with clients in person and electronically
• Maintaining client relationships
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Required:

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of general accounting concepts
• Experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of firm and client information
• Data entry skills and high attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Willing to adapt to continuous process improvement and changes in technology

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience applying accounting practices within a business environment
• QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor
• Associate degree in accounting or comparable accounting and bookkeeping experience
• Previous experience working in a public accounting firm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
