We are seeking a creative and experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and other sweet treats. You will collaborate with our kitchen staff to create unique and delicious desserts that satisfy our customers' cravings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Create new recipes and innovate on existing ones to keep our dessert menu fresh and exciting.
- Ensure all pastry and dessert items are prepared and presented according to company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety standards.
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff members.
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and special events.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a prep cook preferred.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role in a similar environment.
- In-depth knowledge of pastry and dessert techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
- Creative and innovative approach to pastry and dessert creation.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent work experience.
- Attention for detail
- Teachable.
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or must be willing to attain)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
- Ability to work standing for 8 hours
