Fire Fighter is responsible for rapid response to fires, accidents, and other emergencies to protect people, property, and the environment. Works with firefighting teams to control and extinguish fires and safely manage hazardous materials. Being a Fire Fighter performs search and rescue, responds to auto accidents, and provides emergency medical services. Uses and operates fire tools, equipment and apparatus as effectively and safely as possible. Additionally, Fire Fighter performs routine maintenance and inspection of firefighting equipment and gear to ensure proper condition and preparedness for emergencies. Prepares post-incident reports as required. May participate in fire safety education and inspection activities. Typically is required to pass periodic physical ability tests. May require registry in NREMT. May require an associate degree in fire science. Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fire Fighter works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct on-site surveys to ensure accurate system design and successful installation.
    • Review and interpret project specifications provided by customers to implement them effectively.
    • Attend manufacturer training sessions and other professional development opportunities to stay current with industry standards.
    • Create project-specific operation and maintenance manuals to support system functionality.
    • Update and maintain existing drawings for system improvements or modifications.
    • Adhere to company and customer safety policies throughout the design and installation process.
    • Assist office staff with engineering-related tasks, including process improvements and system documentation.
    • Provide support in system inspections, maintenance, startups, and commissioning when necessary.

    Key Skills and Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting and familiarity with 3D design software.
    • Solid understanding of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
    • Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Eagerness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations.
    • Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification.
    • Self-motivated with a desire for continuous improvement in processes and design methods.
