Fire Fighter is responsible for rapid response to fires, accidents, and other emergencies to protect people, property, and the environment. Works with firefighting teams to control and extinguish fires and safely manage hazardous materials. Being a Fire Fighter performs search and rescue, responds to auto accidents, and provides emergency medical services. Uses and operates fire tools, equipment and apparatus as effectively and safely as possible. Additionally, Fire Fighter performs routine maintenance and inspection of firefighting equipment and gear to ensure proper condition and preparedness for emergencies. Prepares post-incident reports as required. May participate in fire safety education and inspection activities. Typically is required to pass periodic physical ability tests. May require registry in NREMT. May require an associate degree in fire science. Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fire Fighter works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     We will be building a team to install and service customers throughout Western Washington and then grow out our operations in Hawaii and Oregon. As the leader of this new division, we are looking for a talented manager who not only has the technical knowledge and experience, but also the leadership skills to hire, train, and manage a team of technicians.

    This skilled position involves the programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.

    • Typical skills include Computer Programming
    • Experience Low voltage, Fire Alarm, CCTV and IT and IP networks
    • Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
    • Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
    • Troubleshooting with Electrical Contractors to identify and have EC repair wiring issues.

    How you will do it

    • Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs internal panel devices/parts.
    • Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
    • Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.
    • Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.
    • Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures for FACP install.
    • Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
    • Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required.
    • Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
    • Hire and manage installation teams.
    • Coach and mentor less experienced installers.

    What we look for - Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems.
    • Washington State EL06 Low Voltage License
    • NICET Level II in Fire Alarm Systems (Level III/IV a plus)
    • Candidate must possess excellent written/verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills.
    • Must be able to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
    • A good working knowledge of computers is necessary (Microsoft Office Products).
    • Applicant must also have a valid driver's license.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
