Fire Inspector jobs in Saint Cloud, MN

Fire Inspector conducts inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with fire and safety codes. Prepares reports and issues violation documents. Being a Fire Inspector documents and defines actions needed to resolve non-compliance situations. Conducts fire investigations. Additionally, Fire Inspector has extensive knowledge of codes, ordinances, construction materials, and alarm systems. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science or equivalent. Has completed fire inspection training and may require the Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI) credential and applicable State License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Fire Inspector is capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without direct supervision. Has a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the job.     We are currently seeking a Shop Tech for our Saint Cloud, Minnesota (Waite Park) location.

    Job Summary:

    The purpose of the Shop Technician position is to receive materials, store materials, pick items and move as well as transport items outside of the warehouse.

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Check in and receive fire and security inventory.
    • Identify specific materials projects.
    • Identify specific materials for service repairs.
    • Create staging for projects and service repairs.
    • Maintaining basic inventory levels.
    • Driving company vehicles, as assigned.
    • Delivering materials to projects.
    • Transportation of items in and out of trucks.
    • Cleaning of workstation and surrounding areas in warehouse/ shop.
    • Assist with Inventory audits.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    • Operate Forklift
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    • Need to be able to work with hand tools.
    • We provide on-the-job training

    Qualifications

    • Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge.
    • Ability to lift 75 lbs , safely use ladders, work overhead and work in tight spaces.
    • Work efficiently with minimal supervision
    • Organizational skills are essential for success
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to learn quickly is a must.
