Fire Inspector Supervisor oversees the inspection of fire-damaged dwellings to determine cause and prevention. Enforces a variety of fire laws, regulations, and policies. Being a Fire Inspector Supervisor requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Fire Inspector Supervisor relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Fire Sprinkler System Inspection & Testing
Job Responsibilities
- Personal organization necessary to meet deadline-driven tasks in a timely manner.
- Communication skills for Customer interaction consistent with USA Fire s stated Purpose/Mission/Values.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems per current NFPA 25 standards
Job Qualifications
- Wisconsin Automatic Fire Sprinkler System Tester License
- General computer knowledge and skills
- Pass a timed mechanical aptitude test with a score of at least 75%
- Ability to verbally communicate clearly, especially on job sites and in construction meetings
- Ability to safely navigate construction sites unescorted
- Ability to safely climb ladders and wear standard personal protective equipment as required by the USA Fire Safety Manual and OSHA on construction sites
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and work on overhead equipment
- Prospective Employees must submit to, and pass a Background check, and drug screening prior to employment.
Desired Experience
- Advanced operational knowledge of fire sprinkler systems
- NICET II or III Certification in Inspection, Testing & Maintenance of Water-Based Systems
- Familiarity with the basic operational knowledge of fire alarm systems
