First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Lending Support Officer to join our RRED Compliance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following :
- Provides support and assistance to the origination, operations, secondary, and servicing staff by performing various tasks in updating and maintaining resource materials, product knowledge tools and new product rollouts / training.
- Primarily responsible to determine condominium project eligibility, review project documentation, and certify mortgage lending documents comply with the Bank’s requirements for portfolio loans and secondary market investors’ for conforming loans.
- Develops and updates parameters for various loan programs, ensures RRED’s Loan Program Descriptions, Underwriting Guidelines and Lending Manual align with investors, insurers and bank policies, assists RRED with internal communications through BancNet bulletins, manages Fair Lending Exception tracking and reporting and serves as CRA liaison for RRED.

Monday-Friday 8 : 00am 5 : 00pm (hours may vary)
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is : $57,000 - $94,000 per year; commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience required. Example : 3 years’ experience in residential lending training or mortgage operations.
- Coursework in mortgage banking or real estate preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in mortgage operations required (grade 100).
- 5 to 7 years of experience in mortgage operations required (grade 101).
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe Professional.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail with excellent independent follow-through.
- Able to work under pressure on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
- Strong ability to follow written or oral instructions and ask clarifying questions as needed.
- Good ability to understand and address the needs of our internal customers.
- Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
