    The Sr Business Systems Analyst will perform analyses to resolve, develop, modify, and maintain the financial, project costing, capital asset management, subcontract, and procurement application systems . The Sr Analyst will translate business and process requirements into logical, economical, and practical design systems. The Sr Analyst must understand the business functions to be processed using the available technology to implement. The Sr Analyst will work with other IT personnel and business users to ensure that system solutions meet informational and operational needs. The Sr Analyst will assist in implementing and integrating newly-acquired companies and support our operations and finance team to research and implement new system features and enhancements, new finance packages, and provide gap analysis between JDE E1 and integrations. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of enterprise resource planning, including JDE E1 financial and procurement systems and the integration between these applications.

    Essential Functions
    • Document current and "to-be" process flows to understand and examine business processes using user roles, use cases, edit rules, and other system specifications in detail
    • Conduct requirements sessions with business users and subject matter experts while providing guidance in formulating new requirements and improving business processes by coming up with creative and alternative approaches to solving business problems
    • Manage scope and user expectations by ensuring requirements can be met within existing project budgets and timeframes and assist project managers in the management of project deadlines and schedules
    • Identify and understand business strategy, issues, and opportunities to assist business partners in identifying and prioritizing new initiatives and capabilities
    • Work and/or lead efforts with other IT groups and/or business users to ensure business requirements are met, including problem resolution and systems testing
    • Assist in developing business test cases and participate in the quality assurance process to ensure that requirements are properly implemented
    • Produce user training documentation and work with the business to train users
    • Employ change management methods to assess needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements for issues or projects related to departmental and company objectives
    • Consult with personnel of all business units involved with a project or issue, to gather information about current operational procedures
    • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
    • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations; may analyze or recommend commercially available software
    • Write and maintain functional specifications, assist with preparation of workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail the requirements necessary for developers to create and modify applications
    • Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs
    • Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections
    • Write documentation or review existing documentation that describes installation and operating procedures
    • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions
    • Configure E1 software to match business requirements and monitor performance of systems and processes after implementation
    • Other duties as assigned

    About You: Qualifications
    • 10 years of experience in a senior level IT Business Analyst or Functional Consultant role
    • Required experience with Subcontracts, Procurement, AP, AR, GL, FA, job costing, contract, and service billing
    • Experience with unit, integration and user acceptance testing script development is required
    • Experience with master data supporting the above functions
    • Experience with SDLC is required
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field/ combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
    • Experience with Procure to Pay external AP document management systems is preferred
    • Experience performing these functions in a construction or high-volume distribution environment is preferred
    • Experience with procurement processes and tools as well as Procure to Pay process is preferred
    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Proficiency with JDE E1(Version 9.2)
    • Ability to lead the finance and operations track during project implementations.
    • Ability and skills to develop job costing reports using Oracle tools such as OneView Reporting and BI Publisher or 3rd party tools such as Hubble is required
    • Expertise with Procure to Pay and Finance applications, processes, and configuration
    • Demonstrated experience documenting use cases and functional requirements
    • Working knowledge of the financial aspects of AAIs and financial system setup
    • Ability to map and design 3rd party integrations (EDI, APIs)
    • Understanding of vendor catalog integration, two-way shopping cart integration with vendor 3rd party systems
    • Proven successful experience collaborating with stakeholders
    • Advanced knowledge of JDE ERP systems, Microsoft SQL Server, MS Office Suite
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Thorough knowledge of computer system terms and functions
    • Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw solid conclusions
    • Proven ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables simultaneously
    • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Salary $115,000-$135,000 / year
      • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
