Flight Attendant attends to airplane passengers to ensure their safety while on the aircraft. Serves beverages and food and keeps the cabin clean for passengers' comfort. Being a Flight Attendant maintains supplies on the plane. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Additionally, Flight Attendant typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Flight Attendant works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Under the immediate direction of the Lutheran Air-Lutheran Ground Director/Manager/Supervisor or other designated clinical management as assigned, identifies the needs and priorities of the patient requiring transport. Plans priorities of care based on patient needs, executed therapeutic physician or nursing interventions and evaluates the patient’s response to care. Functions as a clinical nurse mentor with responsibility for the delivery of individualized, effective nursing care to a module of patients.

Completion of a nursing program diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to work with patient needs, particularly related to patients who are: (1) in crisis; (2) dying; (3) undergoing lifestyle changes; and/or (4) leaving home and family under emergency circumstances.
Requires skills to manage a chaotic work environment related to delivery of emergency patient care in A ground ambulance and with changing patient needs.
Requires strong analytical and organizational skills necessary to assess, develop and implement individualized plans of patient care/education in changing patient and module situations through the care/education in changing patients and module situations through the recognition of actual and potential problems, patient/family involvement, and the collection of data related to unit nursing care concerns.
Requires leadership skills in order to provide constructive feedback to peers regarding nursing issues, participate in unit-based decision making and support changes made.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written in order to establish and maintain positive therapeutic/working relationships with all internal and external unit customers, as needed.
Requires general working knowledge of the normal growth, development, related behaviors, needs, comfort, and range of treatment appropriate to the age (including neonate, child, adolescent, aging adult) and diagnosis of patient served to support the provision of an individualized interdisciplinary plan of care.
