Overview

The Chief Flight Instructor will has the opportunity to lead and manage the flight training program under FAA Part 141 and Part 61 regulations, ensuring that all training, documentation, and operations meet the highest standards of compliance and quality. This role is responsible for standardizing flight instruction, leading and mentoring a team of flight instructors and a team of Assistant Chiefs, while fostering student success through structured oversight and evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience instructing at Part 141 flight school.
• Meets the qualifications of 141.35: Flight training civilian and/or military of 3 years and 1000 hours or 1500 hours dual given. Require 2000 flight hours PIC (pilot in command). 2 years as an Instrument Instructor and 250 hours instrument dual given or 400 hours instrument dual given. 100 hours of actual or simulated instrument time.
• Ability to hold an FAA Class 3 medical.
• Ability to be on call outside of typical working hours, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in flight training management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate both students and instructors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
