Tire Sales Training Instructor

    The Training Instructor is primarily responsible for development, execution, facilitation, and instruction of training classes for Jackson clients. Execution includes content development, scheduling classes, setting up classrooms, creating a welcoming atmosphere, engaging students, maintaining a fidelity of the curriculum while sharing content in a way that establishes the instructor as a subject matter expert and helps students realize that content is relatable and useable. Additionally, the Training Instructor plays a key role in the relationship between Jackson and their training client contacts.


    General Purpose: Contribute to training and developmental strategy, create training programs and materials, and deliver training content, ultimately improving the productivity of a client organization's employees.

    Essential Functions:

    • Proactively schedule and conduct regular meetings with assigned clients to assess training needs, opportunities for account growth, and evaluate effectiveness of past and ongoing
    • Design training curriculum Also assist clients in developing training through providing feedback and recommendations. Enrich courses with visual aids to engage trainees.
    • Organize local and offsite activities, such as, presentations, ride-n-drives, and role-playing
    • Order instructional materials for classes including books, manuals, and instructional aids to assure all materials are readily available for
    • Measureoutcomes from Provide reports and summaries to managers and clients.
    • Research and recommend learning equipmentand
    • Calculate and report on training
    • Manage annual budgets, expenses,and
    • Manage training schedule for Jackson employeesand
    • Ongoing study of product knowledge and industry Develop expert level knowledge of training subjects through research of clients, products, and topics.
    • Proactively look for opportunities to grow and develop the training

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Valid Driver's License
      • Acceptability by Company insurance underwriter for policy covering drivers
    • Knowledge of traditional and modern educational techniques
    • Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills (includes public speaking and presentations)
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients and other associates of the organization
    • Leadership skills - leading projects, teams, and classes towards successful conclusions
    • Excellent, pro-active interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong time management, organizational and critical thinking skills
    • Strong background in customer service
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to problem solve and think critically - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
    • Proactive, resourceful, quick learner, multitasker, strong team player with a strong work ethic
    • Keen attention to detail, particularly when working with numbers, metrics, and analytics
    • Ability to work efficiently under stress
    • Able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to read and comprehend instruction and correspondence

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in related field
    • Prior formal experience as a Training Facilitator, Training Coordinator, or similar role
    • Five years' experience in the wheel and tire industry, aftermarket automotive industry or comparable experience equivalent to this position
    • Familiarity or basic understanding of vehicle dynamics and tire related topics

    Travel:

    • Frequent, 25-45%, including occasional weekend travel

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this position, the Associate is occasionally required to move about the office, use computers, phone, video conferencing and other general office equipment. The Associate must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The Associate may be required to traverse conference/event centers, racetracks, paddocks, and office environments which may require walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills; operate standard office equipment, carry laptop, cameras, phones, etc.; talk and hear.

    Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this position in-office the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, on-site the Associate may regularly be exposed to outside weather conditions.

    Work Location: The position is located at Jackson's home office near Greenville, SC.
