Flight Medic transports and transfers patients by aircraft and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Being a Flight Medic replenishes the aircraft with medical supplies after flights. Must be CPR certified. Additionally, Flight Medic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to manager. Flight Medic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     About the Candidate / Role

    Tradewind Aviation is looking for a motivated, full time Flight Operations Intern to be based in Oxford, CT.

    The semester-long internship program will provide exposure to all aspects of the Flight Operations Department. The internship will provide a unique insight into the demands and tasks of each role in the department to include aircraft operations, flight crew onboarding/offboarding, training, safety management, and more. 


    Responsibilities

    • Assist with research & analysis, operational tasks, and administrative tasks. 
    • Collect, process and analyze departmental related audits 
    • Assist members of the Flight Ops Department as needed
    • Assist with special projects in the Flight Ops Department
    • May require travel to our other bases to perform Flight Ops related tasks
    • Other responsibilities as assigned

    Requirements

    • Currently enrolled in an Aviation Program from an accredited university
    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
    • U.S Driver’s License 
    • Private Pilot License preferred.
    • Highly experienced in Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, Teams, Outlook etc.)

    Ideal Qualifications

    • Instrument, Commercial, CFI/CFII
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal skills 
    • Adaptable and able to switch tasks quickly with ease. 

    Physical Demands

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at times
