Floor Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Floor Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Floor Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.   • Position Title: Floor Supervisor

    Position Summary:

    Floor Supervisor is an hourly position that is responsible for assisting with the flow of operations at the front desk, dining rooms, and kitchens. They work closely with the managers to ensure that Kobe procedures and standards are executed and that excellent customer service is achieved.

    They must be knowledgeable about the Front-of-house and Back-of-house operations so that they can be of assistance whenever help is needed in a specific department. This includes Host, Server, Busser, Bartender, Togo Departments. During operating hours, Floor Supervisors are focused on the customer experience and assist staff on delivering a great Kobe experience to every guest. This includes assisting the Front-of-House Manager with table management, reservations, calls, processing discounts, handling customer complaints or special requests/allergies, greeting tables, and singing celebratory songs. They also may help the General Manager and Assistant Manager with opening or closing the restaurant, training of staff members, filling out daily reports, and assisting the Back-of-House Manager with inventory/delivery.

    The Floor Supervisor is expected to manage and execute all required policies and procedures up to Kobe’s standards. They report directly to the General Manager and Assistant Manager.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred

    Key Qualifications (Training, Knowledge, and/or Certifications):

    • At least 21 years of age
    • Passion for the restaurant industry
    • Casual dining or full service restaurant background preferred
    • Ability to drive results through others
    • Excellent listening and communication skills
    • Ability to build strong relationships
    • Ability to develop service improvement or culinary plans based on business and service results
    • Experience creating schedules for hourly employees
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Successful completion of federal, state, and/or locally recognized Food Safety certification
    • Successful completion of any federal, state, and/or local licensing requirements, as applicable
    • Proficient conflict resolution skills
    • Experience setting high standards and holding others accountable for meeting those standards

    Physical Demands:

    • Constantly move about the restaurant on quarry tile, wood, and/or carpeting, both inside and outside (interacting with guests and employees, operating POS, etc.) for shifts lasting up to 10 hours or more
    • Stationary office work (writing, typing, phone calls, etc.) up to 1 hour at a time
    • Frequently bend, twist, kneel, crouch, squat, and balance neck while performing other manual tasks
    • Tasting/smelling when checking food/drinks
    • Regularly work in cold storage areas as well as hot kitchen/grill areas, for inventory, maintenance, cleaning, product review and retrieval
    • Ascend/descend ladder, step stool, stairs, occasionally
    • Push/pull up to 200 lbs., using hand card, occasionally
    • Lift items, including overhead up to 60lbs, occasionally
    • Frequently reaches, grabs, lifts, moves, and/or carries items weighing up to 60 lbs. various distances throughout the restaurant, as necessary
