POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for setting up and operating Multi-color Die Cutter & Flexo Folder Gluer machines to produce parts according to customer spec.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must set feed section, print section, d/c section, scoring & slotting section and folding section according to customer spec. and work order instructions.
2. Must work with support team to minimize the set up time, to a maximum of 20 minutes.
3. Must check product after set up to make sure it is according to customer spec. and maintain the run rate required to complete orders on time and maintain productivity
4. Must be able to start & stop the machine when necessary and perform minor adjustments, PMs, and housekeeping.
5. Coordinate with maintenance to perform preventive maintenance on machines.
6. Responsible to report any needed repairs to Supervisor immediately.
7. Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions or acts by crew members immediately.
8. Responsible for the quality of the product resulting from set-up & operation.
9. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job analysis are representative of the skill, and/or ability required. 

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in Die Cutters, Flexo Folder Gluer or equivalent machines.

Specific Skills: English proficiency, bilingual preferred (English/Spanish). Knowledge of corrugated production. Ability to read and understand products’ specs.

Specialized knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required.

Other Skills and Abilities: Works well as a part of a crew assigned to the machine.

Physical Demands: Requires stamina and mobility to constantly move between sections of the machine to monitor operation and quality. Frequently sits, bends, kneels, and reaches out with hands/arms.  The employee must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: Production Floor Environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, noise, grease, oil, ink, and dust. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
