POSITION SUMMARY
Plans and prepares production in collaboration with Master Scheduler for manufacture of industrial or commercial products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Strategic Workflow Planning: Systematically plans workflows for each department, aligning with established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
· Efficient Coordination: Coordinates seamlessly with Purchasing to manage Subcontract Services effectively.
· Documentation Expertise: Manages the completion of essential shipping paperwork (C of C’s, Data Packs, etc.) in collaboration with QA to ensure adherence to shipment dates.
· Inventory Validation: Validates crucial inventory transactions, such as materials issued to the work order and completed parts to Finished Goods.
· Real-time Job Tracking: Maintains up-to-date status reports for all assigned jobs, ensuring transparency and accountability.
· Quality Assurance: Conducts thorough examinations of outgoing shipments to guarantee compliance with specified quality standards.
· Proactive Communication: Informs Program Management promptly about job statuses and addresses any potential issues that could impact on-time delivery.
· Optimized Production Sequencing: Plans the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations to provide clear guidance to production workers.
· Operational Coordination: Actively communicates with area supervisors to expedite product delivery, fostering a collaborative work environment.
· Project Status Assessment: Confers with department supervisors to assess the status of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with timelines.
· Adaptive Scheduling: Proactively expedites operations causing delays and adjusts schedules to accommodate unforeseen conditions, ensuring operational efficiency.
· Detailed Reporting: Prepares comprehensive production reports, offering insights into key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
· Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), Windows based computer programs, M1, and ERP/MRP based company-wide sales order administrative systems (Visual MFG).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things. Ability to communicate effectively.
