Specific Accountabilities for the Role:
- Perform routing/planning/scheduling of orders to ensure that quality and on-time delivery commitments are met.
- Process cut routings on a daily basis to allow for timely invoicing of shipped orders and turnaround of drops being returned to stock; correct any discrepancies.
- Accurately route all orders for processing and issue to floor; ensure all orders are sent to the floor to provide adequate processing time to meet due dates.
- Regularly monitor workloads, along with consolidation container schedule; work with management and floor supervision to utilize "down" time on equipment with orders outside of normal production window and to prepare consolidation orders for weekly and end of month consolidation shipments.
- Perform receiving and RAF as required to maintain requirements in both areas (<5 days for receipt / 96% Controllable OTD).
- Review & route orders received on a daily basis in order to maximize equipment utilization and meet delivery commitments.
- Process all change and canceled orders in a timely fashion.
- Perform inventory receipts into the system in a timely manner; maintain an accurate inventory by entering and updating information in the required computer programs / systems; working with Supervision, coordinate receipts to ensure ISO targets for receipts are met; facilitate FIFO for the receipt area.
- Maintain accurate inventory cycle count updates per established schedules; In Supervisor’s absence, work with cost accounting to ensure compliance with QCIs and SOPs and correct any discrepancies; participate in inventory audits as required.
- Maintain the inventory at La Porte to ensure that all internal and external targets are met or exceeded for inventory discrepancies and/or adjustments. Participate in annual inventory audits, internal and external.
- Help maintain KANBAN, or other inventory management programs, to allow effective operation of cut parts programs.
- Issue, process and maintain RMNs to ensure credits are issued to customers in a time-frame the meets requirements.
- Maintain files of receiving paperwork, RMNs, cycle count forms, inventory moves and all other inventory related documentation.
- Maintain and update inventory related SOPs to reflect current practices and meet changing requirements.
- Review reservations to maximize material utilization; offer suggestions for improvement to sales department.
- Meet all Quality systems requirements related to the role. Target of 98% OTD from the Service Centers for all orders and zero NCRs related to role.
- Assist with preparation of certifications for shipping departments.
- Maintain files of routed orders, filed appropriately, and backlog orders waiting replenishment material.
- Meet all Quality systems requirements related to the role. Meet requirements of GE S-1000, specifically with regards to disposition of nonconforming material. Goal of zero NCRs related to role.
- Coordinate transfer order shipments from LaPorte with outlying Service Centers personnel.
- Perform reservation maintenance on order backlog to ensure order delivery commitments are maintained at goal levels.
