Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Analyst to join our IT department. As a Software Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, testing, and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our hospital and its patients. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, IT staff, and vendors to ensure that our software applications are fully functional, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Analyze software applications and systems to identify bugs, errors, and areas for improvement.
Test software solutions to ensure they meet performance, security, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and IT team members to design and implement software solutions that meet the hospital's needs.
Develop and maintain software documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
Provide training and support to hospital staff on the use of software applications.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and make recommendations to improve the hospital's software infrastructure.
Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Monitor and manage software licenses and agreements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director or other senior staff.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software analysis, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Experience with software testing methodologies, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
Experience with healthcare-related software applications, such as EHRs, practice management systems, and billing software.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members.
Experience with software documentation and version control tools.
Familiarity with regulatory standards such as HIPAA and HITECH.
