Maine Custom Woodlands, a Southern Maine timber harvesting company, is looking for a Procurement and Field Forester to join our team. Established in 1993, we work with Maine private landowners within 60 miles of Durham, Maine. We are a mid-size forest management and logging company operating two mechanical crews and a trucking fleet. Our clients’ interests in their woodlots vary from creating a return on their investment to aesthetics and wildlife management. We pride ourselves in helping our clients meet their objectives. This is an immediate position for full-time, year round employment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Standing timber procurement and woodlot management
-Proficient in verbal and written communication
-Word processing and data base management
-GPS and computer-based mapping
-Boundary line and wetland delineation
-Harvest planning, management, monitoring and documentation
-AS/BS in Forestry
-Preferred: familiar with harvesting equipment and deed research

-Likes to be on the road and in the woods, not behind a computer
