Summary:
Responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The primary lift truck is a 36,000 capacity lift. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be safely at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
· Unloading materials from incoming vehicles, stacking them to assigned places and completing receiving documents.
· Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage and/or shipment.
· Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
· Transport raw materials to production workstations
· Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
· Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
· Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
· Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
· Loading out trailers with large steel and aluminum pieces
· Reading fabrication drawings
· Measure and laying out loads for efficient transportation
· Keeping raw materials and finished goods organized and the yard free from trash
· Pitching in and helping in shop environment during slack shipping and receiving times.
· Banding and Create building skills are a plus
Qualifications:
· Must have a forklift certification
· Able to lift 50 pounds or more frequently
· Knowledge of safety standards and ability to use protective clothing including safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots, etc.
· Must be dependable and able to work overtime as needed
· Ability to work in a fabrication shop setting with exposure to the elements
· Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature
