Manager of Development - Asante Foundation

Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Manager of Development is to raise significant levels of philanthropic support for Asante Foundation in support of assigned programs and projects. The Manager of Development represents Asante Health System to donors, potential donors, and community. In addition, the Manager of Development works closely with administrative and medical leaders at Asante to develop and implement approved philanthropic funding goals and objectives involving clinical services, hospital operations, compassion funds, and education. Also, it is our expectation that employees will offer their services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors. This position reports to the Senior Director of Development.

In this role, responsibilities include:

• Prospect management and gift solicitation with a focus on engaging and upgrading patient grateful patient prospects, current and lapsed donors, increasing major and principal gift commitments and expanding the major and principal gift donor pipeline.
• Working closely with Foundation staff to develop and maximize strategies to secure various types of gifts - annual support, deferred gifts, principal-level gifts - and gifts from various constituents, such as corporations and private foundations.
• Conducting and/or managing special projects as directed or required.
• Building internal and external relationships to foster support, enthusiasm, and participation in Asante's strategic initiatives.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Foundation experience including raising revenues in excess of one million dollars annually and experience developing, managing and implementing fundraising plans.
• Bachelor's degree or and equivalent combination of education and experience (additional years of experience are required if no degree).
