Fraud Prevention Associate researches and analyzes potential customer fraud cases to identify and prevent future fraud. Reviews and responds to suspected fraudulent service requests and identifies fraudulent transactions using various research methods. Being a Fraud Prevention Associate follows standard procedures to document a loss and prepares a summary and reconciliation. Communicates the status and resolution of the incident to the customer and/or bank. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Associate identifies areas that need increased security procedures or software to protect customer accounts. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fraud Prevention Associate works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, natural, or applied science, or related field and 7 years of related experience.
24- or 40-hour HAZWOPER certification within 6 months of hire date is required.

Job Duties:
This position will be responsible for the general operations of the Environment of Care Compliance effort at UTMB with a team of 2 direct reports to include organization and management of inspection tours, management of findings coordination of schedules, training, and program development. Will also be responsible for coordinating and executing The Joint Commission audits and managing all supporting documentation. Other responsibilities will include policy development, performance trending and reporting.
