Front Desk Manager jobs in Wisconsin

This position is located on Madeline Island, Town of La Pointe, Wisconsin. The responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the front desk, the rental property business including the housekeeping department and the maintenance department. This includes all aspects of strategic and operational planning, cost controls, measurements of progress, as well as management of personnel. The position has significant liaison responsibilities with owners, guests, and the local community and beyond.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Tracks ongoing tasks and issues across housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk departments.
• Maintains the office flow of paperwork and organization.
• Provides leadership to front desk staff while delegating administrative duties.
• Serves as the contact person with rental owners, providing excellent communication and follow through with all areas of rental contracts and homes.
• Staff management in front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
• Staff scheduling for front desk and housekeeping.
• Works alongside with the head housekeeper to attain knowledge of all rental units and the laundry facility.
• Oversees purchases needed for the office, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
• Oversees and organizes the maintenance department’s tasks for all properties and rental units.
• Update and complete spring and fall to-do checklists.
• Update and refresh Guestbooks for next season.
• Update all yearly paperwork for rentals and inspections needed according to the town and the county.
• Receive guest evaluations, organize information, and report findings to upper management.
• Manage, inventory, and re-stock the retail shop.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation of standard business practices including bookkeeping, procurement, and records management.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people.
